Dominated by the beautiful mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana
The west coast comprises the entire Sierra de Tramuntana, from Cape Formentor to the island of Dragonera. For many the most beautiful area of Mallorca, with picturesque villages such as Valldemossa, Deià, Sóller, Estellencs or Banyalbufar. Each of these village has a small cove or harbor which is not easily accessible exception of Puerto de Sóller. The access to these small coves are wonderful excursions that everyone should do at least once in their life. The contrast of the mountain with the crystal clear sea is spectacular. The beaches here have no sand (except Puerto de Sóller), so we recommend going with proper footwear. Our recommendation in this area are Cala Deia, Sa Calobra, Cala Banyalbufar and Sa Foradada.
