To the east lies the rocky shoreline caves filled with small coves only accessible on foot or by boat, ideal for hiking and spend the day exploring this idyllic places. There are also numerous small bays, natural harbors fishing as Cala Figuera, Porto Colom and Porto Cristo and beaches that are worth exploring. The east coast of Mallorca is dominated by the 1.5 km beach in Cala Millor - but there are also many coves and beaches worth it explore them on your own. Especially around the charming town of Cala d'Or there are many beautiful coves that are easily accessible. The crystal blue water is ideal for dive or snorkel and to enjoy the high visibility that has the seafloor in Mallorca.
Between well protected rocks and pines is Cala Santanyi that offers sandy beach and shallow water, comparable to the beaches of Cala d'Or, but with fewer people. With a beautiful green backdrop amidst a forest is a beautiful sandy cove, Cala Mitjana. If you would like to know one of the most beautiful beaches on the coastline of Santanyi, we recommend to visit Caló des Moro, near Cala Llombards. There is no sandy beach, ideal for swimmers seeking a quiet and suitable place for swimming in clear water while enjoying the rocks that keep site and pines and scrub offering a resting under the summer heat.
